Mapping Crime Data


I think the key is to limit the number of crimes. By keeping it down to 20 or so, the map is useable. I do like the Google interface and the way you can post crime information in each point. I've taken some crime data from the MPD's CrimeMapper, geocoded the addresses and then created a webpage for display. Crimes that are less than 7 days old are displayed in a red font, otherwise in the default color. Here's an example of what I will be using.
